Alright already – lets go!

So it looks like escrow is going to close on our old place on time (July 3). That means that the ball is now firmly in the Hawaii court so to speak. We are hoping that we will close on time there (July 11th) so we can have some time to spend at our new home while we are out there. The signs are promising at this point.

In other news we went up to the 90210 to see Foghat at a show at the old Wilshire Theater last week (now the Saban). The music was excellent – although I thought my band could have done a better job than the local opening act. But then… I am biased 🙂

The coming weekend is full! We are going up to the Irvine Amphitheater to take in Def Leppard and KISS on Saturday the 5th. That should be a GREAT show! Then we drive up to LA and spend the night to catch our flight to Kauai on the 7th.
We have a direct flight into Lihue where Susie (our realtor) will pick us up and take us to sign loan docs so that we can get that part going ASAP. Then we check in to a hotel in Kapaa for a few days until the escrow closes on the house and we can go sleep on the floors LOL. Fortunately Susie has offered us an Aerobed to crash on for our stay. we return on the 18th.

If all goes well we will have a chance to do some measuring to see what will and won’t fit into the place once we move there for good in February. We’d like to get some fruit trees in the ground now so they can get started. There is already an established avocado tree (mmmmm guacamole!) and some bananas growing on the property.

So I have actually gone around and measured all the furniture we think we will ship to Kauai to see if it will fit in the new house – call me anal but I think it will give us a good idea of what can and can’t go when the big move happens in February.

When I post from the house I will include pictures! Check back!
